EWM Team was the first to reach these villages. No other team came because the road conditions are bad in some places. Often our team has to clear the roads or find another way to reach some villages.DSC_2635 DSC_2619 DSC_2613 DSC_2769

Before the earthquake, drinking water was quite scarce in Kathmandu. But now the situation is getting worse. Days after the disaster, the price of bottled water doubled. Every day, our staff is giving fresh water to the children of EWM home in reasonable quantities.

The recent earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25 brought lots of damages and many lives were lost. Thousands of people became homeless and a large number of children end up orphans after this great disaster. Our team split in different locations in the mountains to make a survey of the situation and evaluate the needs so we can provide an effective assistance to the victims of the earthquake.

At EWM children’s home, life gets smoothly organized. The children don’t go to school at the moment. We have established a daily routine to keep the children busy. Every evening, after a warm meal, the children pray together for the victims of the earthquake and for EWM partners. They sleep under the tent that we set up in the garden. Despite these conditions, the smiles of the children bring joy to us.

We value your prayers for EWM Nepal Relief Operation Team and for Nepal.

NEPAL UPDATE!

For now, the situation in Nepal is stalled. Our staff and Pastors of EWM branch churches are doing their best to help as much as possible the victims of the earthquake. It is very difficult to find safe drinking water and buy food in stores. In Kathmandu and villages around, thousands of people are sleeping outside under tents as their homes are unsafe to stay in. Life is difficult for everyone and it seems it will takes months to come back to normality.

We have decided to send a team from India to bring emergency relief for the children and the victims of nearby villages. Hopefully, they will reach Nepal within few days. We value your continue prayers for the people of Nepal.

If you or your church would like to help the EWM relief operation, please make a donation. Many thanks for your continued interest and support.

NEPAL: URGENT NEED!

Here are some news from our orphanage in Nepal. The children and the staff are doing fine. They are sleeping outside, under a tent since Saturday. Due to many tremors, it is not safe to sleep inside the building yet.

Our staff and Pastors with their members started to help the victims, rescuing some people from collapsed buildings and bringing the children who lost their families, feeding them and taking care of them.

As soon as we have new photos from our mission work in Nepal, we will put them in our website.

We thank you for your financial help and prayers.

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck an area of central Nepal between Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara early on Saturday 25th of April. According to international news, over 5,000 people are confirmed dead but the death toll continues to rise everyday.

God led us to the nation of Nepal in 2009 with a vision to share God’s love and His care for the people of Nepal. We have started 3 churches and a children’s home. The work has grown so far. It is sad to hear about the massive earthquake that hit Nepal Saturday. It brought lots of damage. Many buildings and homes were destroyed. Hundreds of people are homeless and sleeping in the streets in cardboard boxes, without proper food and clean water. We praise God, our children’s home nearby Kathmandu was not seriously damaged: the compound wall and the toilets collapsed. The children and the staff are safe.

We started to help and provide food, clean water and blankets to the victims. Our children’s home staff and EWM Pastors are on the site, helping and rescuing people who are trapped under collapsed buildings. We will continue to keep you posted on any future developments through our website: www.eternalwordministries.org

We need your urgent prayers and financial support. Please make your gift payable to Eternal Word Ministries and send it to EWM bank account in your country. You can also make a donation through Paypal.

This all show that we are living in the end time. Jesus is coming very soon. We have to speed up the work of God more than ever before, to show God’s love and His care for the people of the world. For this reason, Jesus came and paid a great price by sharing His precious blood on the cross of Calvary. Through His death and resurrection, we have eternal life.

We do not need to drag a lamb behind us to the altar. We now rely upon the Lamb of God who offered Himself as the supreme sacrifice for our transgression. His blood washed away our sin. What a grace! How wonderful is our redemption! His blood has cleansed us, His life has regenerated us. We are one with Him. We have peace with God. Praise be to His Holy Name!

« But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation. » Ephesians 2:13-14
